Vertical Grips That Do More
Integrating items which serve different purposes can save space and weight on a weapon. Fore grips really lend themselves to this. These dual purpose grips have achieved widespread adoption across armed forces and security services world-wide.
The Surefire M900A integrates a powerful incandescent lamp with the vertucak grip. This unit offers a pair of navigation lights in either red, white or blue. There are no less than four primary beam switches: two momentary-on pressure pads are included for left or right-handed operation. Another, rotary switch puts the light permanently on or off and aother disables the unit to prevent it coming on inadvertently. A momentary-on thumb pad operates the navigation lights. The unit is provided with two lamps that offer 20 minutes of 225 lumens or an hour of 125 lumens output. A narrower beamed, longer range KT4 lamp unit is also available. A quick-detach throw lever mount enables rapid release and replacement. It is also made in a twin thumbscrew model, the Surefire M910A, for those not needing quick detach capability. The unit is made of aerospace grade aluminum and is mil-spec hard black anodized in a black or desert sand finish. It is O-ring and gasket sealed and completely weatherproof.
The GPS02 grip pod is the only weapon stabilization system ever adopted right across the British and American Armed Forces. The grip is controured to the hand and knurled in bands for an easy grip. The vertical foregrip is polymer with stainless steel, polymer coated legs for strength and corrosion resistance. A law enforcement model is available with polymer legs and another version is manufactured for the Minimi SAW. The grip pod GPS02 enables prone operation of the M4 and M16 without the 30 round magazine touching the ground. The grip pod reduces fatigue and increases accuracy, weighing in at a mere 7 ounces. It is also available in black and desert stand finishes.
