It’s been thousands of years that the ancient Indian tribes discovered Yoga. But it’s only a couple of years that yoga came to Western countries. At present, yoga became a new style in the fitness world and stylish form of exercise.
Commonly, yoga is known to be a form of exercise to give our body and mind many health benefits. But if you will go deeper with your yoga practice, it will not be just an ordinary form of hatha postures. It's a mixture of meditation, proper breathing, healthy diet and relaxation. Yoga will be an ordinary exercise like any other if you will not follow the 5 principles of yoga.
Proper exercise. Through various hatha postures and stretches, you can gain the proper exercise. It will normalize the circulation of the blood, enhance your flexibility and tone your muscles. When you do hatha movements, correct breathing should be done at the same time. By doing the right breathing exercise, it let you feel the unity of your body and mind.
Proper Breathing. To do the correct breathing, it should be slow, deep and frequent. When breathing, you should use the whole part of your lungs to have a good intake of oxygen. Your correct inhalation and exhalation will keep your body and mind to relax.
Proper Relaxation. At the beginning and at the end, you will be asked to do your relaxation routine. Doing proper relaxation will let you release all muscle tensions. It will make your body more healthy and your mind calmer. You will have more inner peace from doing deep relaxation because your nervous system will be rejuvenated.
Positive Thinking & Meditation. Meditation is a serious routine and sometimes having busy thoughts is very hard to do. The mind have always so many things in mind and never at rest. You will really need to deepen your meditation. You must try to relax and free your mind to negative things. Eventually by doing a regular meditation, your mind will learn to focus easily and rest your mind.
Proper Healthy Diet. What we eat is what we are. We can think better by eating healthy foods. Training your body is important that when you are hungry that's the only time you need to eat. Just eat everything in moderation if you can't switch to a vegetarian diet.
