Does the address on your bank checks have to match the address on your driver's license?
I know it sounds like a dumb question, but I live at two separate residences an equal amount of time. My checks and driver's license reflects one of the residences I reside at. When I pay rent to my apartment manager for the other residence I live at, does it matter that my checks have the address of the other residence? I know, that sounded confusing! Sorry!
Answer:
No, not at all. I've used many different addresses on my bank checks over the years as opposed to the one on my driver's license and never had any problems with it. It gets annoying, though, when you move and you're stuck with a box (or a couple of them, in my case) full of checks with your old address. Just put down the address on your checks that suits you the best. I've had all sorts of addresses on those checks- from p.o. boxes, fpo addresses and international addresses to regular addresses. Let me tell you, I've ended up throwing a lot of those old check books away! What a waste!
