Frequently Asked Questions...
Isn't it ironic that confederate states succeeded and where against the union but decided to fight together?
with former union states?
Isn't that contradictory to there belief of succeeding. If you succeed from the union then you basically become your own country, than how can you fight again the union your against with those who represent there state now? That contradicts the 1860's example of succession.
Now please don't use the example of them forming a new confiderate group and hence there flag during the civil war.
If they wanted to form there own union they would all succeed on the exact same day and create there own union and try and create there own constituion before the civil war.
But if you notice almost all confederates said they represented there state (ESPECIALLY LEE) and hence there motto makes no sense at all.
Also part 2 of the question
If the confederate army won the war, do you think in the near future they would form there own government with a Constitution and coin there own currency?
Answer:
Keep in mind, in 1776, when the US British colonies started the US revolution, they had no Articles of Confederation until late 1777; well over a year after the war started. The US Constitution didn't come until 1787, and the US currency was not started until 1792.
Also, the correct usage is the word "their" in almost all of your uses of the word "there," and it is "secede" & "secession" not "succeed" & "succession."
